JULIA KAZAKOVA
I am a passionate advocate, marketing professional, and proud member of the HOPE for Epilepsy team. I joined HOPE in April 2025, and since then, I’ve been using both my professional skills and personal experience to support the charity’s mission.
I’ve lived with epilepsy since I was six years old, so this work is incredibly close to my heart. I know firsthand how challenging and isolating the condition can be, and that’s why I’m so committed to raising awareness and helping families feel supported and understood.
With a Master’s degree in Marketing and Digital Communication, I am co-leading HOPE’s marketing and communications alongside Dr. Nadine Gurr (HOPE Chair), Trustee and Brand Manager Simon Hughes, and Creative Designer Sarah Hughes. Together, we’re working to grow the charity’s reach, strengthen its voice, and build greater awareness of the challenges faced by families and children affected by epilepsy.
I also support HOPE’s in-person family sessions, where I love connecting with children and parents creating a safe, welcoming space where they feel heard, empowered, and less alone.
To me, HOPE is not only a charity but a lifeline, a community that helps families and children navigate epilepsy with care, understanding, and hope. I’m proud to be part of this mission and to contribute both professionally and personally.
