ANTHONY WILLIAMS
I had successful epilepsy surgery in 2002, following almost 10 years of suffering uncontrolled seizures and becoming virtually housebound with no employment. It was such a turnaround that it gave me a complete new lease of life and a desire to support anyone considering epilepsy surgery themselves.
To do this I set up an organisation called ‘Epilepsy Surgery Friends’ which is dedicated to offering support to adults and children undergoing surgery.
The Epilepsy Surgery Friends network is now international and we have groups all over the world, so there is never any need to feel isolated as there is always someone out there that we can connect you with.
I’m delighted to bring my experience to HOPE so I can help connect parents with like minded parents who feel isolated when surgery becomes an option for their children.
